Hello and a happy belated start to the new year!
Our intention was to check in with everyone much sooner but you know what they say about the best laid plans… Let’s just say the year did not begin in the way we had hoped or anticipated.
Onwards.
It turns out February is the month to #ReadIndie, so what better time to enlist the help of our friends and supporters to get our books into the hands of even more readers.
As an indie publisher, we have neither the marketing budget nor dedicated staff of the bigger publishing houses, but what we do have is enthusiasm and a genuine love of words well written.
We believe in our authors and are confident most readers will love them too, if only we can get the books to them, which is where you come in.
If you have read and loved either or both of our current titles and are able or would like to help, here are some simple ways to get the word(s) out there.
Buy it, gift it
Birthdays are great for gift giving but why not surprise someone you know with a ‘just because’ gift? Or how about a new book to keep you company during these dark, cold nights? For those of us who enjoy the gift of words, we have some special #ReadIndie reductions to tempt and tantalise.
Any books bought direct from our website means more money in the pocket of the author, which is as it should be. It’s also worth noting our #ReadIndie reductions are only available on our website. Twice the reason to buy direct from Liminal Ink
Reviews and ratings
Since the release of both My Heart’s Content and Life Is Elsewhere/Burn Your Flags, we’ve been humbled by the generous, overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received from our readers. We would love it if you could share your thoughts even wider. Rating our books, or better still, leaving a review, helps with their ranking on a site, which means more people are likely to see (and hopefully buy) them.
Taking a few minutes to write a review could really make a difference. To make it easier for you, here are some direct links to relevant pages:

Tell at least one friend
Personal recommendations are by far the best way to persuade someone to read a book. If every one of our readers told at least one friend or family member how much they enjoyed our books, and if the friend then reads, enjoys and does the same, and if … well, you get the picture.
Did you love one of our books? We would be delighted if you would tell someone, and even better if you could tell them why. You could even mention our #ReadIndie reductions
Share the love with a book group bundle
If you’re anything like us, you probably love any opportunity to get together with friends for a good old blether about books (and other things) over a cuppa or a glass of wine. For those of you who are already book group members, we have a special book group bundle offer just for you.
For those of you who have yet to experience the joy of book clubbing, may we recommend a couple of great books to get you started …
And finally
We are so grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm – a huge thank you to you all.
